And just like episodes 21 and 22, the final two episodes could have also formed a normal length episode. They finally go to their beach trip that they talked about in previous episodes. The final two episodes feature all the characters again along with Soma’s brother. It is a group of people having a fun time. And them going to a Summer festival is the perfect slice of life moment. Now that all the characters know each other and are friends, they can all hangout together. ![]() In fact, these two episodes could have formed a normal length episode. And episode 22 is the characters going to the event. That episode sets up the idea for the characters to all go to a Summer festival. It goes hard with the clumsy aspect of these characters. Indeed, Hayate calls Shun to tell him he is searching for his phone while he is actually calling him with it. Moreover, the opening scene of episode 21 is probably the funniest opening of the series. And to make things even better, they live in the same building but they didn’t know that. Hayate remains that awkward fan but there is definitely an evolution. However by the end of the two episodes, their relationship starts to take a friendlier turn. ![]() At first, it goes from embarrassing to even more embarrassing with Hayate mistakenly drinking in Motoharu’s drink or claiming he deserves to be a rock in front of Motoharu’s feet. Obviously, it is interesting to see more interactions between these two. The previous episodes made it clear that Hayate was a big fan of Motoharu’s work and that he was even embarassed in front of him. A NEW FOUND FRIENDSHIPĮpisodes 21 and 22 form their own little story arc with a focus on the relationship between Hayate and Motoharu. ![]() It has been a fun ride but the second cour of Play It Cool, Guys has finally come to an end and we are back with our last review for this series with the final four episodes.
